About This Course

Artificial intelligence is transforming the way mergers and acquisitions are executed, enabling legal teams to review documents more efficiently, analyse risk, draft transaction documents, and manage increasingly complex deal processes. Claude is particularly well suited to corporate transactions because of its ability to process lengthy documentation, identify patterns across multiple agreements, and support collaborative drafting. However, real value comes from integrating AI into the transaction lifecycle rather than treating it as a standalone drafting tool.

This session explores how Claude can support legal professionals from initial due diligence through contract review, deal structuring, negotiation support, completion, and post-merger integration. Participants will learn practical workflows that improve efficiency while maintaining legal judgement, professional oversight, and commercial focus throughout the M&A process.

Key Topics Discussed:

  • Identifying suitable M&A tasks for Claude
  • Organising virtual data rooms for AI-assisted review
  • Accelerating legal due diligence
  • Reviewing and comparing transaction documents
  • Identifying contractual risks and key issues
  • Drafting and refining transaction documents
  • Supporting disclosure exercises
  • Using Claude to assist with deal structuring analysis
  • Preparing board papers and transaction summaries
  • Completion planning and closing checklists
  • AI-assisted post-completion integration and contract harmonisation
  • Confidentiality, verification, and governance when using AI in corporate transactions
