The risk management process can be compared to playing a game of chess. Every move is strategic and presents ongoing risk-taking as the game progresses and the chess pieces are moved from start to finish. In today’s one-hour session, you will have the opportunity to learn about how risk management and the achievement of your strategic and mission requirements are closely intertwined. We cover what it takes to identify risks and the fact that this is a shared responsibility. In this impactful session, Elena Yearly, who has worked in risk management in both private and public settings for the past two decades, will provide a historical view of risk management, the responsibilities we all have in identifying and reporting risks in any business setting and some valuable lessons learned and best practices in implementing effective risk management programs.
