Dr. Hamed Akhiani completed his PhD in Materials/Mechanical Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan. He has more than 15 years of experience in various industries including Agricultural, Automotive, Nuclear, Energy and Oil/Gas. He also served as a sessional lecturer for Welding at University of Calgary (grad course) and Material Science at the University of Saskatchewan (undergrad course). Dr. Akhiani is a certified Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) Welding Engineer and Professional Engineer in AB, SK and BC. In 2021, he founded XPERJY Inc. based on the feedback he got from industry on necessity of interdisciplinary technical training provided by Subject Matter Experts. His vision is to provide crash courses and customized training by Subject Matter Experts to clients based on their team knowledge gap to enhance team productivity. He currently works at Westpower Equipment Ltd. In Calgary.
