Biography
I am a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), financial writer, trainer and e-Learning content developer. I am also the author of six books on personal financial issues including three national bestsellers. I am a straight shooter able to explain the often confusing world of personal finance in simple English. My views are totally independent. I do not work in the financial services industry and do not sell any financial products. There are no sponsors behind the scenes shaping what I say – I say and write what I want – providing unfiltered advice for the hard-working Canadian.
I currently operate my own financial training and e-Learning content development firm focusing on on-demand video courses for CPAs. I also give webinars to CPAs in British Columbia and Ontario.
I am a member of CPA Canada and CPA Ontario and was a columnist for CPA Magazine from 2014 to 2018.
I am also a past-director of Credit Canada, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people deal with credit problems.
