Biography
Jonathan is a Partner and the head of leading Resources and Energy practice in Brisbane and is also the leader of Native Title practice at HopgoodGanim Lawyers.
Jonathan applies his extensive projects, resources, native title and cultural heritage experience to mining, oil and gas transactions, renewable energy, infrastructure developments, joint venture arrangements, and asset and share sales and acquisitions across Australia and internationally. He is skilled in the art of negotiation, mediation and the resolution of disputes in relation to resources and energy projects.
Jonathan is regarded as one of Australia’s leading native title and cultural heritage lawyers and has been recognised by Chambers Asia Pacific every year since 2007 in addition to several other legal publications. Jonathan was recognised in Who's Who Legal: Australia 2020 as a leading Native Title; Energy, Natural Resources and Mining lawyer. Most recently, Jonathan was included in The Best Lawyers™ in Australia 2022-2023 editions for Corporate Law; Mining Law; Native Title Law; Oil and Gas Law; and Natural Resources Law.
