John Duplessis is a globally recognized leader in Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S), bringing over 3 decades of experience across high-risk sectors including energy, construction, and renewable technologies. As the founder of Calgary Safety Consultants, he works with organizations to build, audit, and enhance comprehensive safety systems—ranging from COR certification and ISO 45001 alignment to cultural assessments and risk-based program development.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety and Health (U.S.A. accredited), is a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), and received technical training from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). John has led large-scale safety initiatives that have significantly reduced incidents and improved performance across complex, multi-contractor and multinational environments. His work spans international projects with a focus on regulatory compliance, contractor oversight, and high-reliability safety operations.
