Dr. Koser holds a BS in psychology, MA in Counseling and a PhD in Counseling and Supervision from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Dr. Koser has been teaching graduate students in a various higher education settings, both in-person in the classroom and virtually to students around the country who are enrolled in Clinical Mental Health Counseling programs. Dr. Koser brings her passion for quality clinical training and years of clinical experience together to provide exceptional student learning and a deeper understanding of complex counseling concepts. Dr. Koser is a Certified Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist and Supervisor. Dr. Koser has presented on EFT and attachment theory at numerous professional conferences around the world and has been an avid consultant to other therapists wanting to know more about incorporating EFT into their practice.
Dr. Koser also specializes in fertility counseling, helping couples navigate complex decisions while maintaining their relationship after a diagnosis of infertility and during fertility treatment. She is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and has completed post graduate training in fertility counseling. Dr. Koser is actively researching and writing about couple satisfaction during the various phases of medical treatment and was selected to present this work at the annual 2019 ASRM conference in Philadelphia. She just published her most recent article in The Family Journal by Sage Publications, titled Fertility Counseling With Couples: A Theoretical Approach. Dr. Koser recently published two chapters with Cambridge Press in a foundational fertility counseling edited text and has just released two highly anticipated continuing education courses on fertility counseling with the Psychotherapy Networker/PESI.
